Wellllll, I've been in Auckland for 3 weeks and its been great! I've been working a lot, I really like my agency and I have the best roommate. Just as I was about to make this blog entry, I realized that I've only taken 7 photos of my travels since I've been here! I really need to step up my game. Everything seems so familiar here...it really reminds me of Seattle and I don't feel far from home at all. Sometimes I feel as if I could drive home if I wanted and then I realize that I'm probably the farthest away from home I could possibly get. I REALLY miss everything back in LA but I'm only going to be here for 3 more weeks...this trip has gone by incredibly fast. I bought a bunch of postcards to send back home to everyone and I'm hoping to actually send them this time.
I don't have any pictures, but I DO have a commercial I'm in that's airing in NZ right now. Its pretty fast, but I think you'll be able to see me ;)

Sooooo, last week was amazing because I spent a week in Europe working in the Alps! Besides London, I've never seen any of Europe (and all of the people I met last week said that England doesn't really count as Europe)...so it was a new and fun experience! I stayed in a hotel in Chamonix, France and was able to explore the town on the first day I arrived. My 3.5 years of French in highschool paid off when I ordered in a brasserie but it was definitely a reach remembering certain words. I was told before I got there that I would be working in the French Alps but apparently it is incredibly expensive to shoot there, so to my surprise and delight, we drove 20 minutes through the mountain to shoot on the Italian side of Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco). It was exciting that during my first time to Europe I was able to see 3 countries in 3 days (I flew into Geneva, so I got a quick glimpse of Switzerland)!
The valley where the village of Courmayeur is was pretty hot but once we took the gondolas up the mountain in order to shoot, the temperature quickly dropped...luckily we were shooting winter clothes! The best part of the shoot was that the team I worked with was SO nice...it made the whole experience so great!

For the Japanese magazine, Glitter. That's so hot. Wanna be my BFF?

I'm going to update on my trip to Europe later this week because it was an AMAZING trip. And I just arrived in New Zealand yesterday, so once I get my bearings I will write allllll about it! I miss everyone! xoxox

I don't know if I can describe what a big deal this is to me but I will try. I'm in the process of packing and found my old iPod which I got my first year of college. It broke about 2 or so years ago...it just refused to work and I tried everything to get it to work again but with no avail. Being the sentimental girl that I am, I didn't get rid of it and set it aside in a box of random things. I was surprised to see my old iPod today in that box and decided to charge it on my computer, just to see what happened. Well, ladies and gents, my iPod has come back from the dead!!

This might not seem like anything but my laptop was stolen 2 years ago with my entire music collection on it. After being a DJ on KXLU for some time, I had built up an extensive library on my computer, and silly me, none of it had been backed up anywhere. Except on my iPod. So now, here I am ecstatic that my music collection has risen from the dead. So happy to celebrate my second Easter of 2009.

Somewhat stressed about the weeks to come, but after talking to close friends and Ben, I am embracing the craziness! Not knowing exactly what my plans are for the next month have been what is really stressing me out, but now that I (hopefully) know what I am going to be doing, i can get EXCITED! So, here's whats goin on:

May 29: Move out of my apartment....goodbye Toluca Lake, how I've loved you so!
May 30-June 1: Drive to SF with Ben!
June 8: Fly to Geneva!!
June 10-13: Work in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France (which I cannot even describe my excitement for)
June 14: Fly to New Zealand (and probably stay there for a month)
I'm hoping this is my final itinerary, but who knows! Maybe I will have visitors to NZ?
In the meantime, I will be listening to this, to get psyched:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLY!!! TODAY IS YOUR DAY!

I changed my template to one of the pre-set options found on blogger. I want you to enjoy your birthday without fear that someone might have a better layout than you. Not that I'm saying I have a better layout. I just want to eliminate any worries from your mind since this is your birthday and you deserve at least one day of relaxation. I will probably be back very soon with some tricked out page and Xzibit will approach me to host a tv show in which I make peoples' dreams come true by designing their blog....but for now this day is yours. Even if I did get my own MTV show, everyone would know that I am a farce and that you are the O.G. Its as if I'm Lauren Conrad and I get the tv show The Hills and you are Kristin Cavallari who obviously brings more to the table when it comes to reality tv, and everyone who watched Laguna Beach knows it. You are obviously more talented than me when it comes to webdesign...I just had more patience when searching "blogger layouts" on Google and happened to luck out. Al Pal, I've said it once and I'll say it again, you are the HTML Queen.
but i will be back :)
